Chatsworth House is one of those place that's gorgeous all year round, but there's always a little extra sprinkling of magic at Christmas time and this December may be the best yet, for Chatsworth has been transformed ... into Narnia.
The house (which was used as the location for Boxing Days's Death Comes to Pemberley) has been decked out with lights, crammed full of trees and dusted with snow and it's waiting to be explored. Begin in Wartime London in the North Entrance Hall before entering the forest just like Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy did, through the fur coats in the wardrobe. They've even recreated Mr Tumnus's tree house and the ice palace of the White Witch. The guides are dressed up as characters from the book and rumour has it, Aslan himself makes an appearance. It's open until the 23rd of December, so seriously, don't miss out.
