Houses

If you haven't already joined Pinterest, I say hop to it! You don't want to miss out on delights like this ...

'Houses' by Sophia Porrino gives me board envy. (Boards, for those who don't know, are like virtual scrapbooks. You can build up a collection of images from your own uploads or by 'repinning' pictures from other people's boards.) 'Houses' is a paradise for pin-thieves. It's choc-full of delicious interiors, gardens and the kind of homes I dream about owning.

Who hasn't fantasised about having a library with a built in ladder on wheels? Hours of fun before you've even started on the books. And how's this for an idea - an outdoor swimming pool framed with grass and wild flowers, masquerading as a very clear pond, complete with its own tree house? A veritable oasis in your own back garden. Oh and how I long for floor to ceiling windows, wooden shutters and giant floor cushions. Not to mention the giant bunk beds with walk-in-wardrobes built underneath. You can never be too old for a bed like that.

Of course, I couldn't possibly ignore the house with a slide winding down from the first floor, or the wine cellar to end all wine cellars. Combine those two and you've created house perfection.

I'd better start saving now.
